Happy Birthday JOFY style

Well what a wash out yesterday was.  It rained and rained and then threw some more rain in for good measure.  We've had a blocked drain pipe just outside the back door for a while, but the drip drip drip from it drove me bonkers yesterday so out came the ladder and I finally cleaned it out.  No more drips but I was one soggy girly by the time I'd finished.  Andy looked on in amazement from inside the house telling me I really did pick my moments lol!!!   We trundled as far as Homebase to get a new light fitting for my work area.   got soaked again and came home lol!! It was soooooo busy.  Definitely a DIY day for all.  Hopefully Oli will fit it today.

My card, now on its way to my Aunt for her birthday was stamped with more JOFY stamps (Shelia thought I was having a JOFY phase as I added another set of stamps to my basket at Pink Tulip on Saturday, and I think she was right lol!!) I love them, and they're great for colouring with Copics and inks.  I've used Stamp sets Minis 21 and 34 and collection 26 for the flowers, and water coloured the images with Picked Raspberry and Ice Spruce Distress Inks with a hint of Crushed Olive on some of the stalks.  All the stamped images were cut out and decoupaged onto the base card for a dimensional effect.

It looks like we're in for another day of rain today here,  so I'm going to get on with some instruction writing.  Enjoy your day too and look forward to catching up again soon :-)

  4. Hi Clare, love the flowers and they decoupage beautifully. Flowers always make a great card and I love making them. I'm a bit bored with my card making at present as I have 4 male cards to do before the end of the month so basing them on photographs of animals, swans etc which I've taken, but blurred or not they're getting them! Weather not too bad here at present but could do with some more sunshine. Hugs Pauline A xx

  6. Morning (in my case) Clare, though it happens to be 2:37 p.m. where you are!!! Love the little card, am sure your Aunt will love receiving it as well!! We were to get a storm in last night and today, hasn't happened so far, hope it holds off til I get down to the valley!! I am always so inspired by all that you do and I thank you for sharing your talent with us! I laughed when you said Andy was watching you clean out the gutter from inside the house!!! Good for you but he should have had tea waiting for you!!!!!!

    1. Evening Judy, we've had more rain today but I stayed dry . No more outside jobs. Andy really didn't want to get wet yesterday and was more than happy for me to get up the ladder lol!! It only took me about 5 minutes but I'll give him his dues he did pass me a large ladle to use before closing the back door :-) Has your storm arrived yet. It seems there all over the place at the moment. xx love C

  7. Good Morning Clare,

Apologies for not being around of late but have had family visiting and had no time to sit and enjoy all your beautiful projects. Now they have all gone I've finally managed to get some "me" time and have been catching up with all your news. I have to say I love all of the projects you've posted of late, and I particularly liked the tent card. Just beautiful. I have to say your weather report reads like ours although we do have beautiful sunshine at the moment! Good to read that your pipes are now all clear and in good working order (nothing personal - although it's always good to know that you have a second skill to fall back on. lol!) Thanks for sharing your wonderful work and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.
    Take care
    Margaret A.

Happy Friday everyone
If your a follower of mine you 'll know that I've been off work for a while following an op, but my life as a lady of leisure came to an end this week when I returned to the world of totally british beautiful fast fast cars and ones that go anywhere!!  I had a wonderful welcome back from my colleagues so thanks to everyone for making my first day as good as it was.  I thought I'd feel like the new girl, not able to remember anything, but just like riding a bike it all came flooding back :-) Now I feel like I've not been away lol!!!
I cant deny I'm not pleased its the weekend and I've got time to re charge my batteries before attempting another 5 days on the trot :-)

As I've just joined the IndigoBlu team official this week I thought I'd share a couple of tags with you made with stamps from the  Pomp and Pageantry and Grand Tour 1 plates and the ledger background which I really love.

Launching the File Folder......

Hi everyone, it's Friday and launch day for our latest project - the File Folder.  I had loads of fun making the samples altered here in two gorgeous paper collections to give two totally different looks to the same File Folder Cover Set.  .   Measuring 10" x 7 1/4 x 2" the sturdy File Folder Cover set is laser cut from 3mm MDF, has a magnetic closure inset into the covers, opens top reveal the option to add a noticeboard section on the inside cover and a ring binder that holds four layered pages. These can be made with or without pockets and pull out photo mats.  I've added a tuck spot option for the pages too. These allow you to slot pictures onto the pages without sticking them down. That way you can always see the beautiful papers you've chosen to decorate your pages in, like  like the Mad Hatter below.  I added black clips into the samples too to hold more pics and ephemera on the pages.   and right in the centre there's an acetate waterfall section that h…
