JOFY Stamp Launch July 15 part 2

Caterpillar Hall Clare Charvill JOFY stamps Paperartsy
Following on from Part 1 of tonights post here's my second make from Jos' new stamp plate JOFY37.  I've called it 'Caterpillar Hall' :-)

I started off with white card squares, brayering the background with chalk and buff chalk
paints, used a Tim Holtz mask and French Roast to add the brick wall effect (one of my favourites), and for the backing board, and then black archival ink and Hey Pesto paint for the stamped detail.
I cut out the fairy door and frame shapes, used card strips with gaps to add the wood effect and then dry brushed French Roast and Buff paint over door and frame until I got the grainy shaded effect I was after.  There's a hint of brick wall around the frame too, added using more Frech Roast paint and a small paint brush.
For the mushrooms I used Prawn paint, brush and water to fill in the colour, Hey Pesto for Mr Catapillar and the sentiment and lastly stamped the dots onto book paper, cutting out the smallest for the mushroom dots.
One catapillar looked a little lonely so I added him in a friend in the pink :-)  (top Picture)
Loved creating this project, and of course will be using these stamps mixed with other JOFY plates for future projects and classes.

Morning everyone, Happy Monday to you.  I"m home after a fabulous weekend with Cheryl, Jan and Chris, at their fabulous shop, In House Interiors in Milford Haven.  It was a full house on Friday for our Artisan Style workshop where we constructed, painted and altered pencil cases and albums.  Saturday was demo day and another full house.  Cheryl, Jan & Chris, thank you so much for hosting the event for all your hard work and your hospitality, you really did spoiled me :-)  It's been quite a while since I've travelled over the border to Wales so I was quit excited as I passed the Welcome to Wales sign and then Raglan Castle. For those of you unfamiliar with our isle, Wales is full of magnificent Castles, sandy beaches, picturesque scenery and a gorgeous coastline.  I had to have a quick pit stop to see Raglan Castle. Saw my first Dragon too :-)   After a journey that took me across the middle of the country and th...
