JOFY Stamp Launch July 2015 - part 1

JOFY Stamps Clare Charvill Paperartsy
Evening everyone, its been a scorcher of a day here again today, so had to trip out to the garden for a couple of plant watering sessions.  Came by lots of little bargains yesterday at a Parks and Gardens Plant sale and now my little garden looks as good as the town lol!!! well not quite!!

Talking about flowers, you'll know if you called by the blog this week that Paperartsy are launching new stamp plates by some of their very talented designers.  Tonight it's Jos' turn to wow us with the latest additions to her range. I'm a big JOFY fan, have oodles of her stamp plates already, and was really touched when she asked me to make a couple of samples for tonights launch.  Thank you Jo, I really enjoyed the challenge and love the new stamps. Will be adding both to my every growing JOFY stash :-)

Here's a walk through of how my miniature shadow box came together using Stamp Plate JOFY 37.
I used chalk and buff Fresco paint to brayer a couple of sheets of A4 white card and book page and French Road to paint the shadow box.  Using Archival ink I stamped the caterpillar rounds onto the book page, and the flowers and sentiment onto white card. After painting them with a puddle or water and paint and fine detail brush I cut them out.  I love their muted colours.
Putting the painted background paper in place in the frame I started building up the flowers, working form the back, forwards, added some of the caterpillar circles to the ends of the blades of grass, the painted card frame and then the last flower.

I added touches of glossy accents to the flower centres and white sharpie pen dots to the flowers to finish off this little floral box.
Call by Part two of this post shortly for a walk through of my second sample made for tonights launch - Caterpillar Hall

Morning everyone, Happy Monday to you.  I"m home after a fabulous weekend with Cheryl, Jan and Chris, at their fabulous shop, In House Interiors in Milford Haven.  It was a full house on Friday for our Artisan Style workshop where we constructed, painted and altered pencil cases and albums.  Saturday was demo day and another full house.  Cheryl, Jan & Chris, thank you so much for hosting the event for all your hard work and your hospitality, you really did spoiled me :-)  It's been quite a while since I've travelled over the border to Wales so I was quit excited as I passed the Welcome to Wales sign and then Raglan Castle. For those of you unfamiliar with our isle, Wales is full of magnificent Castles, sandy beaches, picturesque scenery and a gorgeous coastline.  I had to have a quick pit stop to see Raglan Castle. Saw my first Dragon too :-)   After a journey that took me across the middle of the country and th...
