A crafty retreat at the Holiday Inn, Kenilworth

Christmas Carol Altered Art by Clare Charvill Graphic 45
Morning my lovelies, hope you had a lovely weekend.  We certainly did, laughing and crafting our way through three days, two evenings and countless shift changes at our crafty retreat at the Holiday Inn, Kenilworth.  Ladies thank you so much for coming along,  loved your company and your projects all looked stunning. Our lovely friend Lin was with us in spirit too.  Thank you too to all the staff at the Holiday Inn who looked after us too.  Fabulous food, hospitality, company and great crafting.
It was altered art day on Friday.  We made Christmas themed gift boxes, perfect for petit fours, marzipan fruits, hose round choices wrapped in gold paper and taller gifts in the large one.

Our large two day project was a Christmas Carol album/memory book altered again in the Christmas Carol papers, this years Christmas release from Graphic 45.

We raised a total of £112.00 in memory of our lovely crafty friend Lin Jones over the weekend too which has been paid to the Clatterbridge Cancer Trust who looked after her so well in her last few days with us.  Thank you ladies for your contributions.
It's always sad when an event comes to an end, especially after such a great three days Our next one is booked for 20th & 21st February 2016. If you fancy joining me and like minded crafters for a weekend getaway to enjoy your hobby click the link below for more info and booking details.

We've got a big birthday in the house this week.  Harry bean (my baby) will be 18 on Saturday.  Am dithering over making or buying a cake (says the mum who taught cake decorating for 10 years) so am off to get out some books and have a think.
Have a great day, thanks for calling by and look forward to catching up later in the week with some more crafty makes :-) C
