Getting creative with Voyage Beneath the Sea

Happy Wednesday to you all.  It's a cold and icy one here in the UK and the perfect excuse to stay indoors in the warm and get crafty.  I'm really excited to be sharing one of my altered shadow boxes on the Graphic 45 blog today along with a project from Ginny too in true beneath the sea style.  To visit the Graphic 45 blog and see more about our projects

This gorgeous collection gives us whimsical imagery, a hint of steampunk and oodles of options to create fabulously nautical themed projects.
Totally inspired by the large arch on the signature page form the collection I created a rough edged shadow box (using would you believe the toilet paper technique) to fit the shape and then scrap lifted lots of the fabulous images to create my under the sea themed project.  It's bright and vibrant and shows off the bright blues, corals, yellows and greens you'd definitely find under the sea in warmer climates - not ours lol!!!
Here's a few more pics showing the layers and outside of the box frame.

Harry & I had a fab time yesterday on our trip to Greenwich, London for his first University interview.  We had quite an eventful journey, missed the turn to take us under the Thames and ended up driving past the Tower of London and over the iconic Tower Bridge.

I'm so not good with heights these days and got the colly wobbles as we drove past the Tower and towards the bridge.  It seemed smaller than it does when you stand and look at it from the river bank and amazingly I was fine as we followed the cars over to the other side. We both loved Greenwich, what a pretty place and right by the Cutty Sark. The interview went well and H will be receiving an offer of a place ...... yippee ..... Well done H bean.

You may know that National Craft month started this week and with International Scrapbooking Day on 4th March too Cathy (So Much Scrap) and I are teaming up with a fun crafty project for you to take part in so please call back on Friday and we'll share more about what we're running. Look forward to catching up then, enjoy the rest of your day and thanks for calling by :-)
