Helllooooo there, its 8.40 in the eve here and I'm just grabbing a few minutes of time off before starting another project that has a deadline of yesterday lol!!!  the first of the three collections to sell out on the shows over the weekend was the Twelve Days of Christmas so I thought I'd share a few of the samples I'd made for the set with you this eve.   If you follow me you'll know I always turn to Sandra s fabulous templates when I'm lacking inspiration.  I redid the Christmas Sleigh that I'd first made with the Nutcracker Sweet collection and shared over a year ago.  It's still the most viewed post on my blog.  the baubles were made from left over paper. The little Christmas tree below comes in kit form from Tando Creative Ltd .  I finally managed to catch up with Di at the Leigh Show and have a right old chin wag.  She has some fabulous altered items in her on line store if you haven't visited be lore.  This is one of m...

Come Away with Me to Create and Craft TV

Morning............... I can't believe its Monday morning already.  I've done the unbelievably early taxi run and am back enjoying a quiet early morning coffee and thought I'd share some of the weekends highlights with you.  If you follow me you'll know I spent the weekend down at the Create and Craft TV studios in Peterborough as the guest on the Weekender Graphic 45 shows.  WOW! what a weekend.  The shows are weeks in the planning for the team at C & C and in the making for us guests, creating the set samples to  complement the collections.  I had a lot of late nights and early starts over the last seven days but all well worth it seeing the samples on set and ready to be shared on the live shows.  Here's one or two behind the scenes shots taken before one of my shows with Nigel. Our set is to the left, lights low while the live show is rolling at the back of the studio.  Our fabulous floor Manager and camera crew  Anne and Ch...

Twas the Night Before Christmas & September Workshop Dates

It's been a full on week of creativity here in our little old household, I've been on a real colourful journey through the Come Away with Me, An Eerie Tale and Twelve Days of Christmas collections and now have four crates worth of G45 gorgeousness all packed up and ready to take to Peterborough early doors on Saturday. I've had two crafty accidents this week.  I was stabbed on the cheek bone by the corner of a flying tray and then stood on the paper trimmer blade that had fallen on the floor.  That one was more painful than a paper cut. No accidents today thank goodness lol!!  Join me, joining Nigel, Leone and Stephanie for the Graphic 45 Weekender shows on Create and Craft.  theres loads of fabulous products and offers and of course demos too. You can watch the programmes live via the link below and mail into the show while we're on air too.  Your mail could get read out on air and find its way into the cup of chance.  Winners drawn at the end ...

Just Stampin!

Happy Friday all. It's all go here today, H is after a lift to the golf club but appears to have gone back to bed :-) Ol's keeps bringing me last minute washing to get cleaned before he heads off on his hols tomorrow and is in need of a lift to work at and I'm sitting here smiling.  It's the last day of the summer hols before H starts college on Monday and with Oli away too quiet days with no interuptions are just around the corner lol!.   Today's card is the last of this months design team projects for Darren at Jones Crafts.  I've really enjoyed working with a different collection, it's challenged the old brain cells and got me thinking outside the box.   I used the Mistletoe Stamp Set by Kaisercarft, and red, green and black ink. The wreath background was stamped onto a separate piece of card cut out and adhered to the card before the fussy cut elements were added.  A great way to add some depth and dimension.  I added a recessed ...

Happy Birthday JOFY style

Well what a wash out yesterday was.  It rained and rained and then threw some more rain in for good measure.  We've had a blocked drain pipe just outside the back door for a while, but the drip drip drip from it drove me bonkers yesterday so out came the ladder and I finally cleaned it out.  No more drips but I was one soggy girly by the time I'd finished.  Andy looked on in amazement from inside the house telling me I really did pick my moments lol!!!   We trundled as far as Homebase to get a new light fitting for my work area.   got soaked again and came home lol!! It was soooooo busy.  Definitely a DIY day for all.  Hopefully Oli will fit it today.  My card, now on its way to my Aunt for her birthday was stamped with more JOFY stamps (Shelia thought I was having a JOFY phase as I added another set of stamps to my basket at Pink Tulip on Saturday, and I think she was right lol!!) I love them, and they're great for colouring with C...

Delphiniums (blue) and geraniums (red)

delphiniums (blue) and geraniums (red) Card While I was making the little tent card on the blog a couple of days ago, the tall flower spikes in the JOFY stamp set reminded me of the blue delphiniums we used to have in the garden and a poem I used to love reading when I was small. I was from the wonderful world of AA Milne, he of   Winne the Pooh   fame and was called  'Now we are Six' .  Its packed full of the most fabulous poems, all of which I loved but this one was always my favourite, so I thought I'd share it all with you.  The Doormouse and the Doctor There once was a Dormouse who lived in a bed
Of delphiniums (blue) and geraniums (red),
And all the day long he'd a wonderful view
Of geraniums (red) and delphiniums (blue). A Doctor came hurrying round, and he said:
"Tut-tut, I am sorry to find you in bed.
Just say 'Ninety-nine' while I look at your chest...
Don't you find that chrysanthemums answer the best?"   The ...
